We are all Americans

We are all Americans

Ana Coello and Constanza Loustalet, MFA students at Georgia State University, developed this campaign as part of their Studio Practice course under the guidance of Professor Jeff Boortz. The objective of the course was to investigate how psychological principles of persuasion, when applied to designed environments, experiences, as well as print and screen-based media, could influence the beliefs and perspectives of a target audience. The aim was to motivate the audience to take actions that demonstrate a change in their beliefs and viewpoints.

The idea is to showcase the connection between people from different countries in America, emphasizing similarities and celebrating a common, international American origin. The recent political climate of the Americas has been in constant flux—causing much migration, fear, and misunderstanding. We acknowledged the common and media-hyped misconception of Latino immigrants across the United States. We wanted to raise awareness and educate people about the similarities between Latinos and U.S. citizens, promoting the idea that it doesn't matter where we come from. We are all Americans.
